Dr. Shirin Muhsen is a Breast Surgical Oncologist and Chief Quality Officer at Clemenceau Medical Center (CMC), Beirut.
An affiliate of Johns Hopkins Medicine International. Her work stands at the intersection of science and empathy, bridging the precision of surgery with the humanity of patient experience.
She earned her Doctor of Medicine and completed her General Surgery Residency at the American University of Beirut Medical Center.
Her pursuit of excellence led her to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, where she completed consecutive fellowships in Breast Surgical Oncology and Colorectal Surgery, training at one of the world’s foremost cancer centers.
These formative years shaped her conviction that medicine is not only about removing disease but about restoring trust and dignity to every patient she meets.
Women with breast cancer face some of the most personal decisions in medicine. It’s not just about survival, it’s about identity, body image, and belonging.
My approach is defined by clarity, empathy, and shared decision-making, helping women navigate diagnosis and treatment with understanding
